Web hosting

Anyone who has their own website or knows someone who does:
Can you recommend a good (preferrably cheap) web hosting company?

I'm looking for an online community I'm affiliated with.
Bandwidth isn't a big concern, but the site will possibly need around 1-2GB storage space (but can probably deal with much less).
Since the community is a site for dialogue, it would also be preferable that the company not be overtly political.

I should probably also add that Lunarpages and Globat have been recommended. If anyone has any cautions (or glowing praise) about these two companies I'd love to hear it.

I use http://www.catalog.com because as long as you register your domain with them (or transfer it to them) they'll give you their most basic level of hosting for free. Granted, they charge a little more for the domain registration than the cheap registrars who don't provide hosting do, but it's still way cheaper than most website hosting services. (It was $30 per year for domain registration when I last paid them; I don't feel like going to check right now whether they've raised their prices since then, but you can.)

I've been using Verve Hosting since April, and I quite like them. I have 200 MB of space, with various other little perks (nice stats, subdomains, various scripts available via the control panel), for $10 a month.

Cotharyus did a lot of work for them before the dot.bomb company he was working for went under. They've got good prices and good customer support and all and I know they've got a good system setup since Coth did it!!! :D

I know the owner of Vagrant Hosting (www.vagrantweb.com)...and, I'm hosting my own site through him. He's got awesome deals on different hosting packages, is really, really attentive with customer support, and overall I (and everyone I know that hosts through him) has been really pleased.
