That's what the Boston Herald is calling it. How apropos.

I keep juxtaposing the image of a state/nation tearing itself apart with the image of two people who want to be recognized as "together."

Yea, that's basically what it is. Though there seems to be little that's truly civil about it.

Someone told me just now on the Vagrant Cafe (www.vagrantcafe.com/forums) in the politics forum that marriage isn't a right, it's a privilege bestowed upon citizens by the majority of the people. Heh...so was apartheid, so were the Jim Crow laws.

Some days I wonder if there really is a point. I'm losing my resolve, I'm losing my will to fight anymore.
