(sigh). Me too. All my international acquaintances ask me: what kind of madness is going on in this country? My heart is heavy because the majority of the citizenry are following along, buying into the frenzy. What happened to our critical thinking skills? Where is the vital and robust democratic loyal opposition? This is an hour of opportunity for the leadership of the democratic party to paint the possibility of a different future.
One thing for sure: I'm registering democrat when I move to Houston next week. The GOP is an American-style Taliban these days.
Your comment was so well-put, and the fact that I am afraid of saying so has me scared half to death. Never in my lifetime did I think my country could so degenerate. I saw degeneration coming, but the speed with which it has come astounds me.
