Homepage Update

I spent some time this weekend updating my homepages. Not so much content as design...for now. Though there were some updates/changes. I decided since my livejournal was somewhat integrated into my pages, and i liked the design, I would lift from model it after my journal design and color scheme. If you actually take the time to bother and look at it, I'd appreciate any feedback. I'd especially like to know: do you like the background?

I can probably put the two further in sync once I get a paid account again. Which I really need to do, since one of my top links currently leads to a porn site, thanks to the wonders of the evolving internet. :P

The background is beautiful! Its very easy to read on it too, which is quite novel ;)
I did aproximately the same modeling of my lj style to my webpage too.

Thanks for the input! The text was what I was most concerned about. I modified the image from an original ("autumn leaves") that would have required me to make the text white/light colors, which I didn't want to do. I didn't know if I got it light enough to read easily. It didn't bother me, but then a lot of backgrounds bother others that don't give me problems, so I wasn't sure.

Oh, yes, and I've always loved your LJ page, but then I'm especially partial to GREEN (as if you couldn't tell).

The background is lovely and it is indeed easy to read the text on top of it. Though I do not support Disney - not every enemy of my enemy is my friend.

The top link in my livejournal set of links: Memphis Gay & Lesbian Community Center. They've moved to MGLCC.org, and their old address, memphisgayweb.org, now links to a porn site. And apparently a porn site for someone who can't type, at that.

Disney. Yeah, I almost took that banner down. I put it up when they were being specifically targeted by the SBC. But they are, in the end, a corporate empire, and thus inherently prone to Evil(tm). These latest shenanigans with the copyright laws have really pissed me off, since they pretty much have made their fortune out of Disney-fying public properties. I dunno, I still like their GLBT-related policies, and I still enjoy their films and such, but I don't feel the need to specifically promote them now, so maybe I will take that down.

Love the site. Easy to navigate and easy on the eyes. I clicked to a friend's personal site and her background was bright yellow. Going to have to take a closer look later on.
