I did it with about three minutes left. It took me four minutes to come up with the last three: predictably, a "square" state and a New England state, and unpredictably, a close neighbour.

Well, this is somewhat excusable since I doubt you were drilled on the 50 states of the U.S. in primary school. Of course, I live in Arizona...but then one of the other commenters lives here and took forever to remember it. :D

Also, I should tell you -- the only reason I know all 50 was because I learned a song with them in alphabetical order. Now I just have to memorize the Animaniacs' countries of the world song and I'll REALLY be impressive..
