I don't think so, but the ad hominem comment (which you immediately retracted) didn't help your cause. The person was snooty. Blow 'em off. I think that you culled some good data from those sites - something the mainstream media is neglecting...

Her only argument seems to be that the CCC isn't a racist group because they say they aren't a racist group. Frankly, that's about as good an argument as the one she keeps decrying: that people are making assumptions about the CCC.

Uh huh.

Could the remark have been taken out of context? Sure. Could he have meant something entirely different by it? Sure. Are people making too much of a deal out of a senator who has, in the past, been involved with racist groups? No, I think people have a right to know these kinds of things about their leaders.

Segregation was wrong, racism is wrong and dangerous if you are the wrong color or have the wrong ideas in the wrong state, and questions OUGHT to be asked about these people who are making public policy.

So, no, I don't think you're being unreasonable.

Um...not no, but HELL NO!!! At least Trent Lott finally slipped up and said his racism out loud enough for us all to hear...

If you happen to come across one of those e-petitions for his removal, I'd like to know about it. I would happily "sign"it.
