Volunteer chaplains at a local Holocaust exhibit about Nazi persecution of gays and lesbians come from different faiths - even religions that condemn homosexuality.
The clergy, who are staffing the exhibit during all of its operating hours, are available to any viewers who need emotional support or counseling.
"The Holocaust was something horrific. It doesn't matter whether it was homosexuals or the Jews. Christians need to show their concern - a lot of times during the Holocaust that didn't happen," said Loretta Tracy, a Catholic lay leader at St. Cyril of Alexandria Catholic Church, 4725 E. Pima St., who is one of the exhibit's 11 volunteer chaplains.
