Still Alive...
Aug. 30th, 2003 01:11 pmWe've finally had clear enough weather in the evenings to see Mars for the past 2 nights. Spectacular!
Was flipping through the channels after our walk Thursday night and noticed Bill Maher was on Larry King Live (apparently they'd recently had an encore presentation of an earlier interview). Maher is always interesting (I like him even though we don't always see eye to eye) so I watched that. I was hooked by his comments regarding the California recall. Truer words were never spoken. It's such a farce.
I survived the first week of school relatively disaster free, but hooray for long weekends. So much to read, but at least it's interesting. Enjoying it so far. It's what I expected grad school to be, for the most part, and in some cases more. I've missed this stuff.
