well no need for further back and forth first of all because nothing is ever settled on lj and what is possible is simply a certain exchange and juxtaposition...I think however beyond that, that both your points as you make them here and also my points essentially stand...one may choose one's emphasis in any case we have both stated how we see it. I am not interested in going to the movies to learn a director's ideas about current american politics few hollywood people are both artists and clear thinkers indeed few if any of the current directors are artists. on this you may considerably agree with me though more intersted than I in subtexts and sociology etc for me the sacrifice of andrey tarkovsky would be the film touching politics and society which I would reccomend. the rest of this stuff I would take for what it has to offer...
